Pathology

General information about the department:

             The pathology department is present in first floor in college building and is providing routine diagnostic facilities.  Staff are involved in diagnostic work and teaching activities for MBBS, Nursing and Paramedical students. Central laboratory is situated in new hospital premises wherein clinical pathology, cytology and hematology sections are providing round the clock services for outpatient and inpatient sections. Participating in EQAS for Hematology and involved in NQAS. Departmental museum has more than 200 mounted specimen and  60 charts for students. Advanced facilities like immunohistochemistry and histochemistry are being done in the department.  In addition to routine teaching activities, seminars , journal clubs and CPCs  are regulary conducted. . From the year 2020-2021 we have started post graduate training  with two seats , planning to increase the post graduate seats in subsequent years
